Wood clinker dinghy renovation - Salcombe Pram P83

Salcombe Pram

Newly renovated and ready for the water.

Bare wood paint burn off, new timbers of five steam bent oak (ribs), Mahogany knees. Bronze screwed rubbing strips beneath.

Together with my first attempt at sail making.
Material is baloon fabric sourced at the Heathcotes mill, Tiverton, Devon.

Sadly I have recently sold her due to lack of use but to a very good home quite close to Poole Harbour.  The new owner will get much pleasure and power up with the "Best Outboard in the World".   A British Seagull.

A man after my own heart. Well done, it looks a real beauty....but how does it sail?
