Dog Legs day 2

From our overnight stop near Pons less than five hours drive brings us to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and within a few minutes of the B&B home of  Lucile, our host for the next few days. The drive south past Bordeaux was incident free though  some  medium traffic. The scent of the pine trees in the air pervades, adding to the excitement and fun drive in the Morgan with roof down, passing through isolated showers of warm rain.
Cecile is an excellent and kind lady host, very willing to share her delightful mansion. Her waist length hair is platted. A retired midwife with four children now scattered away, and four grand children. Most interested in people, she is curious to know how her many pilgrim-travellers come to terms with their creator. An evening meal is spent together relaxed and welcomed.

M44 is parked outside our bedroom window under the shade of a Walnut tree and the warm bonnet attracts a tabby cat. The shepheard dog is eager to befriend us too. Tomorrow is my birthday and I am happy.
